Trash can in Linux

Today I was trying to create a short cut for my eclipse in my Linux gnome desktop and by mistake I deleted my eclipse.ini , now where did the file go!!! switching to discovery mode ran this command

find -name eclipse.ini
and i see it under
./home/peter/.Trash/eclipse.ini
eureka this is how linux manages it trash bin now did some google and ended up in this simple article which talks more details on this

http://www.go2linux.org/linux-trash-can-recycle-bin-console

so this is how I got my file back
 $ cp  ~/.Trash/eclipse.ini .

note: if you use rm it does not goes to trash so be overcareful , the above use case is only for gnome desktop delete
